Description

A Statement Piece.

In creating the Pope chair, Poul Henningsen sought to reinvent a number of classic furniture designs that had traditionally been constructed of wood, such as the frequently encountered ‘bistro’ chair. Henningsen saw an opportunity to create a next-generation product that improved upon traditional designs by the way steel was used that could allow him to create a strong and durable design that maintains a refined appearance.

The traditional Pope’s hat provided the inspiration for the shape of the chair back, which is noted for its superior support and comfort. The Pope Chair is a clear statement that fits so well into all settings, whether it is at the lobby or lounge area, in the office for meeting purpose or in the home interior. It adds classy style and refinement to all settings! The Pope chair is available with chromed steel tubes and upholstery only with the exclusive aniline leather in four colors: mocca, walnut, indianred or black. It is all about style, which is beautifully accomplished with an upholstery in Hallingdal fabric in two colors: black or light grey.
